This announcement is just one piece of the enormous overhaul underway at Disney Village—Disneyland Paris' adjacent entertainment district that’s slowly transforming into a more sophisticated, immersive destination.
A Village Reborn
The project, part of a multi-year reimagining of Disneyland Paris in celebration of its 30th anniversary, spans more than 40,000 square meters and is expected to wrap between 2026 and 2027. Disney Village is being reshaped to feel more timeless and family-oriented during the day, and dazzling by night.
Wider walkways, elegant lakeside paths, contemporary landscaping, and atmospheric lighting are all key elements in the design. “We want Disney Village to become a day-to-night destination,” said Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris. “The transformation will bring iconic, modern concepts to life for a whole new generation of guests.”
The architectural style is said to be inspired not by one specific place, but by the dynamic lifestyle of the Paris region. Chief architect Greg Ashton revealed that the team is working to make this space feel alive year-round—infused with music, light, and original art installations inspired by beloved Disney characters.
Restaurants on the Rise

The food scene is already seeing dramatic shifts. The former Café Mickey has been replaced by Rosalie, a Parisian brasserie by the Bertrand Group, serving elegant regional dishes and seasonal French cuisine in a sophisticated setting. It opened in late 2023 and includes both table and counter service, along with a waterfront terrace.
Across from Rosalie is The Royal Pub, which took over King Ludwig’s Castle in early 2023. It's a British-themed eatery featuring fish & chips, hearty pies, Guinness beef stew, and traditional English breakfasts.
Meanwhile, the old Planet Hollywood building is coming down to make room for Casa Giulia, a modern Italian restaurant also run by Bertrand Group. It will offer full-service and takeaway meals and is expected to debut in 2026.
Style Meets Story
Disney Village is also becoming a hub for fashion-forward shopping. Disney Style and Disney Glamour will open on March 8, 2025. The former takes inspiration from The Incredibles’ Edna Mode, offering customizable apparel and themed merchandise, while the latter focuses on jewelry and upscale accessories, including collaborations with brands like Pandora.
Home décor lovers can look forward to Déco by Disney, opening in April 2025 with limited-edition collectibles and Art on Demand prints.
Even the LEGO Store, which reopened in April 2025, now features life-sized sculptures and interactive installations, while a refreshed Disney Store is in development. According to Disney, seasonal merchandise rotations and new franchise tie-ins are planned once that space reopens.
And About That McDonald’s…

Back to that burger news. Though the current McDonald’s is being torn down, a sleek new two-story version is already in the works just steps away. Construction quietly started in 2024, and if all goes according to plan, it will debut in 2026 with a fresh look to match the new Disney Village aesthetic.
Notably, Annette’s Diner—a nostalgic, roller-skating ‘50s-style restaurant—will remain unchanged for now. And the Sports Bar, like McDonald’s, is set for refurbishment.
As Disneyland Paris continues to evolve, Disney Village is no longer just a place to pass through. It’s becoming a destination of its own.
