Disneyland70: A Celebration of Magic and Memories

Disneyland Resort recently announced an exciting lineup of festivities for its upcoming 70th anniversary. While the park’s official birthday falls on July 17, 2025, guests won’t have to wait that long to join the fun. The Disneyland70 celebration kicks off on May 16 and will continue through summer 2026, bringing dazzling entertainment, attraction updates, and limited-time experiences to Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.

Among the highlights, Disneyland Park will introduce characters from Coco (2017) to “it’s a small world,” while Disney California Adventure Park’s Toy Story Midway Mania! attraction will receive a special refresh in honor of the anniversary. Themed decorations will also transform Sleeping Beauty Castle and other areas of the parks to mark the occasion.

Themed around “Celebrate Happy,” the Disneyland70 event will introduce an original song of the same name, setting the tone for an experience filled with joy and nostalgia. Fan-favorite entertainment offerings will return, including the “Paint the Night” electrical parade, the “Wondrous Journeys” fireworks spectacular, and a brand-new version of World of Color titled “World of Color Happiness!”.

Additionally, the “Tapestry of Happiness” music and projection show will illuminate “it’s a small world” each night, bringing a fresh layer of magic to the beloved attraction.

But the biggest transformation comes in the form of all-new designs for Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and their pals. Mickey and Minnie, Chip’ n’ Dale, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Pluto, Goofy, Clarabelle Cow, and Max will all debut updated outfits designed exclusively for the anniversary celebration.
