Disneyland Resort is known as The Happiest Place on Earth, full of wonder and magic. Guests visiting Walt’s original theme park are transported to a place where they can spar with pirates, take a ride through a haunted mansion, travel to space, meet a Mandalorian, and even race through Radiator Springs. There are also amazing places to eat, and shopping experiences you won’t get anywhere else. Just thinking about a day at Disneyland can bring a smile to even the grumpiest of faces.
But one mom is getting real.
Disneyland may be a magical place, but it is still in the real world, with real problems, real people, and real attitudes. TikToker Chrys Marie (@chrys_marie1) shared a video of a realistic day at Disneyland in the summer with two young kids. It’s…. a lot. But she kept a sense of humor about the situation, and the results were hysterical.

It should be noted that Chrys could have saved herself a little bit of hassle if she had read up on Disney’s stroller rules before going to the Parks. Disney no longer allows wagons in Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, or Downtown Disney unless the Guest receives medical clearance. The same stroller rule is in place at Walt Disney World Resort. Disneyland’s stroller rules can be found on the Resort’s website.
Summer is typically one of the busiest times to visit the Parks, so the lines were long and wait times were high. Not great when you have two young kids who want to ride as soon as possible and won’t be happy with waiting more than an hour. Chrys’ daughter was also hilarious with her obvious disappointment that she only got to meet Mickey Mouse and not Minnie.
It’s not a trip to the theme park without some classic theme park food. The family originally thought about dining in one of Disneyland’s great restaurants, but the wait times for those were crazy as well. So, the kids indulged in popcorn and lollipops. Unfortunately, between the heat and the excitement, the food didn’t stay in their son’s stomach for long.
A day at Disney can truly be an exercise program disguised as a vacation, but thankfully, people like Chrys can see the humor in it.
