‘Harry Potter’ Fans Will Soon Be Able to Buy Butterbeer OUTSIDE the Theme Parks!

When Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (or Sorcerer’s Stone in the US) was published in 1997, fans were brought into a new world, one full of magic, mystery, murder, and treats that would make their mouths water. The treats and dishes that Harry and his friends dined on were ones that fans wished they could have in real life. That dream came true when The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened at Universal’s Islands of Adventure in 2010.

Since then, Wizarding Worlds have also opened at Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Studios Japan, and Universal Studios Beijing. A second Wizarding World — Diagon Alley — opened at Universal Studios Florida in 2014.

The Universal Orlando Resort is currently undergoing a massive expansion, with its third theme park — Epic Universe — set to open next year. But Epic Universe isn’t the only place a lot of work is being done. Crews are also working on making some big changes to Universal CityWalk, the huge shopping and dining area outside the theme parks.

And Harry Potter fans, get ready to rejoice, because the changes coming to CityWalk mean that you will have even more places to indulge in the magic that is Butterbeer!

According to reports, when the CityWalk expansion is completed in 2025, the Universal Studios Store will begin selling Butterbeer. They will have the classic Butterbeer, frozen Butterbeer, hot Butterbeer, and even vegan Butterbeer! This will be the first time that guests visiting Universal Orlando will be able to purchase Butterbeer outside the theme parks!

The Universal Studios Store will be undergoing a major expansion to accommodate the new lands that are coming to Epic Universe. Next year, guests will be able to shop for merchandise from the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic and SUPER NINTENDO WORLD.

Epic Universe is set to open in the summer of 2025, but guests are hoping Universal will finish ahead of schedule and open the highly anticipated world early.
