WDWNT reported on July 15 that the Orange County Sheriff's Office vehicle, which had been a permanent presence outside the entrance to Disney's Hollywood Studios, is no longer there. In its place, Walt Disney World Resort has installed three concrete barriers positioned between the parking lot and the Disney Skyliner station, blocking the pedestrian walkway leading to the theme park gates from any vehicle, whether intentional or accidental.

The outlet shared a photo of Walt Disney World Resort guests walking past the new barriers on their way into Disney's Hollywood Studios, showing visitors adjusting seamlessly to the change and using the space behind the concrete structures for safe passage to the entrance.

Beyond protecting the pedestrian walkway, the barriers also prevent unauthorized vehicles from accessing certain parking areas in the vicinity.

Walt Disney World Resort has not issued any public statement about the change or indicated whether similar concrete barrier installations are planned at EPCOT, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, or the Transportation and Ticket Center. Whether the removal of the police vehicle is a permanent shift or a temporary arrangement has also not been confirmed.

Law Enforcement Hasn't Left the Property

The absence of the vehicle outside Disney's Hollywood Studios doesn't mean law enforcement has vacated Walt Disney World Resort. Deputies from the Orange County Sheriff's Office remain stationed across Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and Disney Springs. Their roles include traffic direction, security support, and rapid response to emergency calls across the Central Florida Disney destination.
