Disneyland’s Fantasmic! is making a comeback with expanded showtimes, but don’t get too comfortable—it’s only temporary! If you’ve been waiting for more opportunities to catch this fan-favorite nighttime show, here’s everything you need to know about the latest schedule update.
A Longtime Fan Favorite
Since its debut in 1992, Fantasmic! has enchanted Disney fans with its larger-than-life storytelling, special effects, and iconic battle between Mickey and Maleficent in her fiery dragon form. Combining water projections, fireworks, and live-action sequences, the show has become a staple of Disneyland’s nighttime entertainment lineup.

Over the years, Fantasmic! has gone through several changes, including a major update last year that refreshed some of its effects and sequences. However, fans were disappointed when Disneyland drastically cut showtimes in 2023, limiting performances to weekends only.
A Temporary Solution
Now, Disneyland is offering a short-term fix. Starting March 14, Fantasmic! will be performed every night, with two showings at 9:00 PM and 10:30 PM. This expanded schedule is expected to last through March 30, though Disneyland’s official entertainment calendar currently only confirms dates through March 25.
The return of nightly performances will make it easier for guests to see the show without having to plan their entire trip around a Friday-Sunday schedule. However, once this temporary extension ends, it’s unclear whether Disneyland will consider bringing back more consistent showtimes later in the year.
Planning Your Visit
If you’re visiting Disneyland during this limited-time run, you’ll have the best chance in months to experience Fantasmic! without as much competition for viewing spots. Dining packages are also available, offering reserved seating and a meal at select restaurants—an option worth considering given the crowds that still gather early for the best spots.

After March 30, the future of showtimes remains uncertain. Disney could revert to weekend-only performances or surprise guests with another extension. If this show is on your must-do list, don’t take any chances—catch it while you can!
