Walt Disney World Resort has quietly shifted away from using “Easter” on some merchandise packaging, instead labeling clearly holiday-themed items as “spring” products.
The change became apparent this week when a new Monorail pull-back toy appeared at EPCOT and other park locations. The toy features oversized bunny ears and a vinyl sticker depicting Mickey and Minnie Mouse hunting for decorated eggs—traditional Easter imagery. Yet the packaging describes it only as a “spring” toy with no mention of the religious holiday.

WDWNT shared an image of the packaging on Facebook, highlighting the labeling discrepancy. The item retails for $14.99 plus tax and qualifies for Annual Passholder (and other) discounts.
Easter Programming Continues Despite Label Changes
The merchandise rebrand doesn't signal an end to Easter celebrations at Walt Disney World Resort. The Central Florida destination continues to offer spring holiday festivities across its four theme parks and resort hotels, maintaining traditions that have endured for years.
Unlike Halloween and Christmas, which receive dedicated after-hours events like Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, Easter doesn't get exclusive ticketed programming. However, the holiday still brings special experiences to the parks.
Magic Kingdom Park typically hosts Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny for meet-and-greets in the weeks leading up to Easter Sunday. The park also offers an exclusive pre-parade on Easter Sunday, though Walt Disney World hasn't announced specific 2026 schedules for either offering yet.

At EPCOT, guests can purchase an Easter egg-themed scavenger hunt experience. Participants search for decorative egg statues hidden throughout the World Showcase Pavilions, then turn in completed maps for small prizes. The activity has become a popular Easter tradition for families visiting the park.
Disney Resort hotels across the property display elaborate hand-crafted chocolate eggs inspired by Disney and Pixar films, theme park attractions, and beloved characters. These artistic creations often become photo opportunities for guests staying on property during the Easter season.
Quick Service and Table Service restaurants throughout Walt Disney World Resort offer limited-time Easter menu items, including themed food, beverages, popcorn buckets, and collectible sipper cups. These seasonal offerings typically appear in late March and continue through Easter weekend.
Additional Easter Merchandise Already Available

The Monorail toy isn't the only Easter merchandise Walt Disney World has released for 2026. The resort previously unveiled Easter-themed T-shirts and plush toys ahead of the spring holiday, which falls on April 5 this year.
Easter Sunday 2026 is expected to draw significant crowds to Walt Disney World Resort, as families combine spring break vacations with holiday celebrations at the theme parks.
