Disney has long been known for its commitment to honor and support U.S. service members and their families. One of the highlights of this dedication is the Disney Military Salute Ticket, offering substantial discounts for military families to enjoy all the magic that Walt Disney World has to offer. For 2026, this initiative continues, making it more affordable than ever for those who serve the nation to experience the parks.

The pricing details for the new offering are impressively wallet-friendly. The Military Salute Ticket grants access to the parks for the remarkably low price of $499 per person for the entire year.

The exciting news does not end there. The year 2026 marks the launch of a special offer allowing military families access to the parks year-round for an incredible price. This initiative is part of a larger celebration of America’s 250th birthday, showcasing Disney’s gratitude towards the troops who defend the freedoms of the United States.

Major Changes Coming to Disney Parks

As the excitement builds for military families heading to Disney World, they can also look forward to significant changes coming to the parks. Over the last few years, Disney has announced a series of expansion projects designed to enhance the guest experience, particularly at its Florida theme park resort.

One of the most noteworthy transformations is happening at Disney's Animal Kingdom. The park is undergoing substantial changes, particularly in its popular DinoLand U.S.A area. As part of a shift towards new attractions, half of this prehistoric-themed section closed in January, with the remainder slated for closure in February 2026. The new area, named Tropical Americas, promises to offer a fresh perspective on the wonders of nature through exciting rides and attractions.

In Hollywood Studios, changes are also afoot. The Muppets Courtyard section is set to close this summer, paving the way for the creation of Monstropolis, a new land inspired by Pixar’s beloved Monsters Inc.

Meanwhile, Disney's Magic Kingdom is witnessing its largest transformations of all. The park recently said farewell to its iconic Rivers of America, resulting in the closure of attractions like Tom Sawyer Island. This area is being revitalized into Piston Peak, inspired by Pixar’s Cars franchise, promising guests an all-new way to enjoy the magic of the park.

With such significant changes taking place, anticipation is building for the new attractions that will soon open their doors to guests. Animal Kingdom's new land, Tropical Americas, is expected to feature attractions and experiences that resonate with both children and adults, honoring the beauty of nature and wildlife.
