Visitors to the Magic Kingdom will notice some modifications to the parking operations at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC). These changes come as part of an operational update aimed at improving the overall guest experience. Most notably, the Jafar section of the TTC parking lot has been closed for resurfacing work. This closure is expected to take a few weeks to about a month, though Disney has not provided a specific timeline for completion.
During this period, guests may need to plan accordingly as the closure of the Jafar section could lead to a slightly reduced number of available parking spaces.
However, the majority of the parking lot remains open to accommodate the high volume of visitors, ensuring that they can still access the park with minimal disruption.
Despite the ongoing resurfacing, tram operations will continue with slight detours that will adapt to the construction work. Guests using the tram service should remain alert for any changes in routes as they approach the Magic Kingdom. This continuity is particularly important for ensuring a smooth arrival experience at the park.
Additionally, the TTC serves as a key transit hub for various modes of transportation, including buses and the iconic Monorail. Guests using Walt Disney World Resort buses can enjoy direct access to the park gates.
However, those opting for the Monorail will still need to stop at the TTC, highlighting its crucial role in connecting visitors to the Magic Kingdom.

As part of the recent updates, Magic Kingdom has also extended its operating hours in mid-February. The revised hours now see the park closing at 10:00 PM instead of the usual 9:00 PM on certain dates, with some days witnessing a closing time of 11:00 PM. This adjustment provides guests with additional time to enjoy the park’s attractions, dining, and entertainment offerings.
The extended hours contrast with previous schedules and indicate Disney’s commitment to enhancing guest experiences. With more time in the park, families can plan their visits more leisurely, enjoying the extravagant nighttime shows and attractions that Magic Kingdom has to offer.
Magic Kingdom’s Newest Attractions
Adventure seekers visiting the Magic Kingdom can also experience two exciting new attractions. The first, TRON Lightcycle / Run, opened in 2023 and quickly became a favorite among guests. This roller coaster offers a thrilling ride that allows individuals to become part of the digital world, racing through exhilarating twists and turns. While the experience is renowned for its speed and smoothness, the restraints may present comfort challenges for some adventurers.
The parks’ other new attraction, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, opened last summer. Built using the framework of the former Splash Mountain, this new ride immerses guests in the enchanting world of Disney’s animated classic, The Princess and the Frog. As guests journey through Tiana’s Bayou, they are treated to vibrant visuals and unique experiences that celebrate the beloved characters and stories from the film. Although the attraction faced challenges shortly after its opening, it has since seen significant improvements that enhance its appeal.
Both of these attractions play a vital role in elevating the Magic Kingdom experience. With new rides available, guests have even more reasons to visit and create unforgettable memories at this iconic destination.
