New MagicBands Featuring Figment, Dumbo, and More Now Available on shopDisney

While browsing the “New” section of shopDisney this morning as part of my morning routine, like one does, I came across a few new MagicBand 2 designs that are now available to order right from home!

The new designs feature a variety of characters both from the Walt Disney World theme parks and from fan-favorite Disney films, some of which I do not believe have appeared on a MagicBand before.

In total, it looks like five new MagicBands have been added to the sign, with designs featuring Simba from The Lion King, Tinker Bell from Peter Pan, the title elephant from Dumbo, Frozone from Disney and Pixar’s The Incredibles, and of course, our loveable pal Figment from the Journey Into Your Imagination attraction over at EPCOT.

All of the new bands that were added to the site recently are $29.99 ($34.99 for Tinker Bell). Most are not limited edition in the sense that they are labeled with a limited number noting how many were released, but they may still sell out quickly as they sometimes tend to run out quick depending on the popularity of the character on the band (I say this as I am kicking myself for not picking up an older design featuring Mr. Toad!) The Tinker Bell band is a Passholder exclusive and is a limited release, however.

MagicBands are no longer included in Disney resort hotel stays, however if you have a resort reservation coming up you should see an option to select your band in the My Disney Experience app ahead of your trip still. On that screen, you will find discounted options to purchase a solid colored band as well as upcharges if you’d prefer to wear one of the specialty designs like these ones instead. (Note when purchasing MagicBands through the app you also may find some that are exclusive for resort Guests!)

While they are no longer included in resort stays, they can still be quite helpful in navigating Walt Disney World during your next vacation as they unlock hotel rooms, have charging abilities, and work as your park ticket.
