You Can Now Send Cast Member Compliments in the My Disney Experience App!

The magic that makes a Walt Disney World vacation truly special really does come from its Cast Members! Disney Cast Members work incredibly hard to create happiness every day so you can have memories that last a lifetime, and we always recommend leaving a compliment for them whenever you can so their efforts can be recognized. Now Disney has made it easier than ever to thank a Cast Member, by adding the ability to leave Cast Compliments in the My Disney Experience app!

You can also go the old fashioned route to leave a Cast Compliment (and we recommend this when the Cast Member really goes above and beyond to make your stay magical. In addition to complimenting through the app, you can head over to Guest Relations at the front of any Walt Disney World theme park or Disney Springs, or visit the front desk of your Disney resort hotel. Emailing Cast Compliments is another option. You can send an email to guest.services@disneyworld.com with your compliment to recognize them after you’ve returned home from your trip!

Tweeting is another option, and was the go-to way to compliment Cast Members on the go before this addition to the app. Simply tag @waltdisneyworld and #CastCompliment on Twitter and they’ll make sure your message is shared with the Cast Member.

However you decide to compliment a Cast Member, be sure to submit the compliment with their name, work location, and their hometown or college listed on their nametag if you can. When compliments are passed along to Cast Members’ leaders, they can usually determine who it was based on where the person was working during the interaction and their name, but the more details the better to ensure your compliment reaches them.

With the latest update to the My Disney Experience app however, leaving a Cast Member Compliment is easier than ever before. Once available on your device, you’ll see a “Share Your Compliment” link on the bottom of the homepage. There you’ll be able to fill in the fields with the location where the magical experience with a Cast Member took place.

Currently, the app only allows for adding the Cast Member’s work location (there are no fields for additional details yet), but we expect this to be a new feature that will roll out likely with more information when Genie+ is ready to launch. In the meantime, it’s a quick way to recognize Cast Members at certain locations, and we think using the app and sending a quick tweet would be the way to go for now!
