New Signature Restaurant, Amare, Opening With the New Walt Disney World Swan Reserve

We’ve just learned some additional details about the expansion of the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort, including the opening of the new signature restaurant coming to the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve.

A total of four new restaurants will open with the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve: Amare, the resort’s full service, signature dining experience, Tangerine, a poolside bar and grill, Grounds, an all-new grab-and-go concept, and Stir, the resort’s lobby lounge.

Amare, the newest signature restaurant to join the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, will offer upscale Mediterranean-inspired cuisine for Guests visiting from all over the world. Named for the Italian word meaning “to love,” Amare’s menu will focus on fresh local ingredients inspired by Mediterranean favorites with seafood, citrus, olive oils, pasta and pitas.

On top of the newly designed menu, Amare will feature an outstanding wine list full of flights, glasses and bottles of wine from across the Mediterranean region.

The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin shared with us some highlights of the new menu which include:

  • “Breakfast: Breakfast buffet, breakfast bowls and a la carte items including Eggs Au Cheval (two farm fresh eggs, seared medallions of angus beef tenderloin, sauce bearnaise and house breakfast potatoes)
  • Lunch: Salads, flatbreads and entrees including grilled line-caught mahi-mahi with lemon, Tuscan kale and Spanish caper emulsion
  • Dinner: Appetizers including hearth-fired Tiger Prawns and charred octopus, and entrees including sea bass al cartoccio, and handmade manti dumpling filled with bahrat spiced lamb, cauliflower, roasted eggplant, tomato, yogurt sauce
  • Dessert: Pistachio caragli (rolled baklava), Greek yogurt cheesecake and Meyer lemon panna cotta”

While lounging poolside, Guests at Tangerine can order signature cocktails, flatbreads, salads, burgers, and sandwiches, along with the restaurant’s own signature tangerine-flavored popsicle.

Grounds, the new grab-and-go coffee stop will feature craft coffee, sandwiches, pastries and more, giving Guests a quick, easy, and delicious way to caffeinate and enjoy breakfast or lunch on the go between trips to the theme parks.

Lastly, the new lobby bar Stir, offers specialty cocktails and small plates plus food and drink pairings just for Swan Reserve Guests. Plates will include the Chef’s choice of salamis from Spain and Italy, Soppressata, red onion, mozzarella and San Marzano flatbreads.

The addition of these four restaurants bring the total number of dining experiences at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin up to 22 different venues, offering something for everyone from casual ice cream shops to signature steakhouses and everything in between. The new restaurants at the Swan Reserve all feature citrus-inspired menu items as a nod to Central Florida’s citrus history.

The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort is also nationally recognized for its food and beverage program, and for its numerous wine sommeliers and more than 1,400 total wine selections. The resort also hosts its own annual Food and Wine Classic event in the fall, and is in walking distance (or a short boat ride) to EPCOT’s International Gateway making it an ideal place to stay during EPCOT’s festivals.
