Walt Disney World Resort has officially constructed a new food and beverage service location at EPCOT, bringing permanent infrastructure to an area that previously relied on temporary cart service. The confirmation comes as construction barriers begin to disappear from the Norway World Showcase Pavilion, revealing the completed structure that has been taking shape behind plywood walls for several weeks.
Construction Walls Tell the Story
Earlier in December, Disney Fanatic documented the installation of new construction walls within the Norway Pavilion at EPCOT. The barriers extended the footprint of existing construction zones, stretching from the courtyard positioned in front of Royal Sommerhus, continuing through a frequently traveled pathway leading to restroom facilities, and reaching all the way to the Stave Church building.

Observant Disney Park guests recognized that the construction walls surrounded the former home of a mobile snack and drink cart. That cart had offered an assortment of beers, soft drinks, and the typical selection of prepackaged frozen treats found across all four Walt Disney World Resort theme parks: Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
At the time the barriers first appeared, Walt Disney World Resort provided no public explanation for the plywood walls and protective scrims blocking the area.
Permanent Structure Takes Shape in the EPCOT World Showcase

On Wednesday, WDWNT reported visual confirmation of what's been constructed behind those barriers. A permanent snack and beverage kiosk has been installed, although some construction walls continue to surround much of the new building.
The architectural design of the kiosk incorporates Scandinavian-style wooden carvings and features a gable roof covered in greenery and foliage. This aesthetic mirrors the existing structures throughout the Norway World Showcase Pavilion at EPCOT, maintaining the themed environment Disney Park guests expect from the area.
Strategic placement puts the kiosk within easy walking distance of several high-traffic attractions: Frozen Ever After (one of EPCOT's most popular rides), the Anna and Elsa character meet-and-greet experience at Royal Sommerhus, and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, where guests can enjoy Disney Princess character dining.
Opening Timeline and Menu Details

Walt Disney World Resort has not announced an official opening date for the new Quick Service kiosk. However, the timing could align with the approaching Christmas week rush when EPCOT typically experiences peak guest volumes.
Menu details also remain unconfirmed at this stage. The kiosk will likely serve comparable treats and beverages to those offered by the mobile cart it's replacing, though Walt Disney World Resort could introduce modifications or additions to the selection when the permanent location begins serving guests.
