While Stranger Things Season 5 marked the end of the flagship series on Netflix, another season is on the way.
Stranger ThingsĀ has concluded — at least the live-action series that started in 2016. Now, the first spinoff (one of two in development), which is 3D animated, has finally revealed its first official teaser following the initial announcement trailer released a few months ago.
Stranger Things: Tales From '85 takes place between seasons 2 and 3, during a harsh winter in which Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, and Max unravel a new mystery and confront terrifying new monsters from the Upside Down.

The Season 5 finale, which premiered on Netflix on December 31 (New Year's Eve), was met with a mixed reception. While many fans praised the action-packed episode, others criticized its pacing, storytelling decisions, and overall execution.
So much, in fact, that some launched an online petition demanding a new version of the season as a whole from Netflix, while a wild fan theory, which claimed the ending was “fake” and that a new episode would follow, the finale gained a huge amount of traction.

Now, over a month later, Stranger Things is refusing to depart its streaming home for good. While the main series is officially over, the franchise is set to continue with two new spinoffs (one of them is an untitled live-action project currently in early development). Tie-in media including comics, novels, and video games are also expected to continue.
For now, all eyes are on Tales From '85, the upcoming series that brings back all the main characters (with a new voice cast). Yesterday, February 1, Stranger Things shared a new poster for the animated show, promising that a teaser would drop today (February 2).
