Our 10 Favorite Character Meals at Walt Disney World

10. Supercalifragilistic Breakfast at 1900 Park FareDisney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa

This delightful breakfast/brunch takes place in one of Walt Disney World’s most beautiful resort hotels—the Grand Floridian. There are hot items on the buffet, including the signature Mickey waffle, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and even omelets made right in front of you—exactly the way you want them! Cold items on the buffet include salmon, fresh fruit and cereal. There’s even an entire area of the buffet devoted solely to pastries, biscuits and other sinfully wonderful things (even danishes!). But what makes this experience one of our favorites is the line-up of characters you’ll get to encounter while you nosh on your scrumptious breakfast. Winnie the Pooh makes rounds, as do Tigger and Eeyore. The practically perfect Mary Poppins pops in for a chat with Guests, and Alice and the Mad Hatter playfully spar back and forth. Careful—the Mad Hatter just about steals the show, but sometimes his antics include loud yelling and even belching! It’s one of the most fun breakfast experiences on Disney property!

I am a writer and a Mom to four children and two baby shih-tzus. My first experience with the Magic was in 1988, when my parents surprised my brother and me with a visit to Walt Disney World after a short trip to see friends in Georgia. I still hum the tune played during the Main Street Electrical Parade and remember the feeling of excitement from my very first visit. I introduced my husband to the Magic several years ago, and we take our children to the parks every time we can. No matter how many times I visit Walt Disney World, it seems it’s not enough! The ever-changing experience only gets better with each trip, and I’m thrilled to share the Magic with others, as well as some of the tips and tricks to getting the most out of the Magic with each visit!
