8 Things That Are Worth “Splurging” on At Walt Disney World

    8. Annual Passes Because we live close and know that we will use them often, splurging on annual passes is a no-brainer for us. Though they’re the biggest expense on this not-so-splurgy “splurge” list, annual passes may actually be the best value for others too. Check out these annual pass articles for both residents and non-residents.

8 Things That Are Worth “Splurging” on At Walt Disney World

    7. Mini-Golf Have you been to Fantasia mini golf? If not, put it on the list for your next visit. At $14 for adults and $12 for kids, it’s not the cheapest mini-golf in Orlando. But we consider it a fun way to hang out together, and it’s a worthy “splurge” to stay in the Disney mood on a non-park day.

8 Things That Are Worth “Splurging” on At Walt Disney World

    5. Souvenirs Merchandise can set you back a pretty penny at Disney World. But buying a small take-home item can mean years of relived memories…which could actually mean it’s priceless, right? For tight budgeteers, there are several helpful articles on our site regarding purchasing the best souvenirs for your buck. In fact, our favorite me

8 Things That Are Worth “Splurging” on At Walt Disney World

    4. Alcohol Alcohol is one of a handful of things that you absolutely cannot bring inside Disney parks. Thus, to get a brew your only option is to ante up. Is an alcoholic drink absolutely necessary? Well, it depends on the person, I suppose. My husband holds the view that anyone can go to Disney, but everyone would enjoy more Disney with

    3. Stuffed Waffles Like I said, we regularly bring our own lunches to save some money. But not always. Sometimes, whether by choice or force of nature, we opt to grab some counter service grub. And by golly, if we’re gonna “splurge” on restaurant food, it’s gotta be good. We’ve discovered several favorites in the parks, but Sleepy Hollow

8 Things That Are Worth “Splurging” on At Walt Disney World

    2. Splitsville Splitsville bowling alley in Disney Springs brands itself with the words “luxury lanes”, and luxury is usually diametrically opposed to a tight budget. However, did you know that Splitsville has early bird specials? If you go anytime before 12:30pm, you actually can get luxury lanes on a regular budget. We’ve gone to Splits

8 Things That Are Worth “Splurging” on At Walt Disney World

    1. Ice Cream Five dollars for an ice cream sandwich? Highway robbery! Or maybe not… Often we try to save money by bringing our own snacks into the parks. But on a hot day, there’s just nothing quite like ice cream. And according to unscientific child polls, when it’s shaped like Mickey Mouse it actually tastes better. We’ll often bring sa

8 Things That Are Worth “Splurging” on At Walt Disney World

Our family’s Disney philosophy is this: you don’t have to spend a lot to make great memories. We happen to live fairly close to Disney World, and we do Disney often…but on the cheap. We regularly pack lunches. We bring ponchos and glow sticks from the Dollar Store. We are the epitome of frugal and should consider tattooing “value consciou
