Planning and Packing for Disney 101

5.  Packing–(Other Necessities)

Don’t forget these items:  cell phone, portable battery charger, surge protector for multiple chargers, sunscreen, ponchos, umbrellas(which are great for rain or sunshine), spritzer fans for those really hot, humid days, medications and bandaids, sunglasses, park tickets or Magic Bands, ziplock baggies to keep credit cards and ID’s dry for those rainy days or attraction water splashes.  Be sure everyone has their Magic Band before leaving for the parks.

6.  Packing for Babies

It’s a good idea to bring along a separate backpack for all of your baby’s needs.  Be sure to include scented diaper trash bags, a cooling towel for extremely hot days.  For families with infants, toddlers, and small children, Walt Disney World provides convenient Baby Care Centers in all four theme parks.  These unique facilities are equipped with a private nursing room with rocking chairs, a changing room with tables and a unisex bathroom, feeding area with high chairs, kitchen with microwave, oven, sink.  The comfortable main room provides a television, table, chairs and sofa, on-site shop offering formula, baby food, juice, diapers, wipes, sunscreen, over-the-counter medications and clothing for purchase.  This is truly a home-away-from-home for Moms with infants and small children.

7.  Souvenirs

Who wants to return home without some sort of remembrance or keepsake for those who stayed behind, like dog sitters, house sitters, friends, etc.?  Here is a short list of budget friendly trinkets for those who stayed behind: key chains, magnets, mugs, MIckey Mouse ears, Disney pins, character pens or pencils, and so much more.  No one wants to be left out, so take advantage of the many cheap but memorable keepsakes.  As far as your own souvenirs, the choices are endless.  Have fun choosing your favorites.

Planning and Packing for a Walt Disney World vacation is a challenge, but with a little help from different Disney sources and guidebooks, you will find your plans taking shape, then before you know it, you will be on your way, all packed and ready for your exciting, magical Disney World adventure.

Last, but not least, remember what the visionary who created the Disney legacy, Walt Disney, had to say about Disneyland and all other Disney ventures:  “Here you leave Today and enter the world of Yesterday, Tomorrow, and Fantasy”

Cecilia

I am a working mother of four adult children, 2 granddogs, and one grandcat. I have been a Disney fanatic since 1959, when my parents took my sister and I on a journey across the country to Disneyland. Needless to say, we were thrilled, and this became our vacation destination for the next 10 years. Later, when Walt Disney World was opened, we travelled to Florida and discovered a whole new Disney experience, and WDW became our new vacation destination. Now, our extended family members are all Disney Fanatics and always ready to talk about anything Disney.
