Planning The Perfect Trip
Planning The Perfect Trip

Planning the perfect Disney trip can be exciting and stressful all at the same time. We have all been there. The key to a perfect Disney trip is planning ahead. We have a listed 10 things to help you with your planning and before you know it, you will be a pro at planning your perfect Disney trip!

10. Time

Make sure you give yourself enough time to spend in the parks. Don’t go to Disney and think you can do everything in a weekend. You will need to spend one day in each park to get the best experience possible. Oh sure, you can hop around to a couple of parks in one day, but you wont get that perfect Disney trip that you are looking for.

9. Party size matters

The saying “the more the merrier” does not apply to the perfect Disney trip. Sure, it’s a wonderful thought to have your entire family with you at Disney but it’s not practical I have found that spending time at Disney works better with a small group. When you have larger groups, you seem to spend more time waiting on people, or too many mixed ideas on what to do and a lot of stress that comes along with trying to keep a big group together.

8. Park Hours and Magic Hours

Be sure that you know what time the park opens and closes. Some parks offer extra magic hours. This means if you are staying at a Disney resort, you are able to enter the chosen park earlier than everyone else or can stay a little later. The crowds are a little smaller during magic hours.

7. Maps

Have a park map handy at all times. We like to keep it in an easy to get to place in our backpack because you will use it a lot. Having a map handy will save you time and frustration as to knowing where the attractions are located. You don’t want to waste your vacation time wondering around looking for a certain attraction.

6. Tickets

Do your homework and figure out which ticket option is best for you and your family. Disney offers so many options from annual/season passes to park hoppers and one day passes. Don’t be afraid to ask what discounts are available to you.

5. Transportation

If you are staying at a Disney resort be sure to use the Disney transportation system. You won’t need to use your own vehicle on Disney property. This will save you from extra parking fees and also save you from getting lost. It’s a big place! Between the monorails, buses and boats, Disney does a great job at getting you where you need to be and it’s so easy to use.

4. Resorts

We recommend staying at a Disney resort. Not only for the transportation and the magic hours but staying at a Disney resort sets a tone for your experience. From the themed guest rooms to the gift shops and resort swimming pools and even the resort lobby’s has a Disney feel to them.

3. Fast Passes

Fast passes are a must if you want to avoid the long lines to your “must do” rides. You can do this ahead of time on your My Disney Experience account.
