The holiday season is already upon us in some parts of the Walt Disney World Resort, and we are excited to get even more festive when the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays returns later this month.
World Showcase is the place to be this holiday season with a variety of festival favorites from past years finally making their long awaited return. While so many elements of the holiday season, both in and outside of Walt Disney World were cancelled last year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, EPCOT did manage to celebrate the season with a “Taste of” the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. This year however, we are excited to see the event return in full swing around World Showcase!
In Canada, the Canadian Holiday Voyageurs will be sharing musical memories from across the Great White North just outside of the Victoria Gardens, and the Chinese Lion Dance will be performed throughout the festival near the entrance to the China pavilion. In Italy and France, Guests can hear traditional stories told by La Befana and Père Noël.
And, Santa Claus himself will even be making appearances outside of the American Adventure pavilion! From November 26-December 24, 2021, Guests of all ages will be able to have a one-on-one interaction with Santa himself, as well as a photo opp. (While outdoors, this photo opportunity with Santa will be appropriately distanced.)
In addition to all of the above, this year’s EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays marks the return of Candlelight Processional for the first time since 2019. Guests will also be able to experience special holiday kitchens, a scavenger hunt with Olaf, exclusive merchandise, and more.
