Guests who headed to EPCOT on Wednesday hoping to ride Test Track solo found that a popular shortcut wasn't available, and Walt Disney World Resort never announced the change. According to visitors, Disney cast members appear to be trying a different way to load the ride.
A Line That Wasn't Open

On October 14, X (formerly known as Twitter) user @DisneyWorldTom visited EPCOT and tried to enter the Test Track single-rider line. Unfortunately, Disney cast members at the entrance to the World Discovery attraction turned him away.
Per that guest, the line was scheduled to remain closed all day while Disney tests a “new operating procedure.” They posted:
🚨 UPDATE: The Single Rider line at Test Track in EPCOT is closed today.
According to a Cast Member, the line will remain closed for the entire day as Disney tests a new operating procedure.
No word yet on whether this will lead to any permanent changes.

Whether the single-rider queue for Test Track will return on Thursday, October 15, is unknown. Walt Disney World Resort hasn't commented on the test or its purpose.
A Pattern Worth Noticing

The experiment echoes one Disney already ran this year at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. On Expedition Everest, Disney cast members stopped relying on a single-rider line to fill empty seats and instead split parties in the regular queue into two groups, evens and odds. That let them fill trains efficiently, and the test was considered a major success.
In September, the Expedition Everest single-rider line closed permanently, and Disney has since removed every trace of the alternate queue. If Test Track follows the same path, this trial could be the first step toward ending its single-rider option as well.
Where Single-Rider Lines Remain

Several Walt Disney World Resort attractions still offer a single-rider option. They include Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Rock ‘n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets at Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Remy's Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT. Disney cast members sometimes open a single-rider line for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney's Hollywood Studios, though availability varies and isn't guaranteed.
