Spending Valentine’s Day 2021 at Walt Disney World: Our Recommendations

Festival of the Arts - Vanilla, rose water, and pistachio panna cotta

Couples that are Disney fans just might share my opinion that Walt Disney World is not just the happiest place on earth, but can also be one of the most romantic! If you are lucky enough to celebrate Valentine’s Day 2021 at Walt Disney World you should try out some of our must do recommendations!

1. Cuddle Up at a Disney Resort

What better time to splurge on a Disney Resort than during a romantic Valentine’s Day trip? While prices are not at their lowest in February the resort crowds and thus resort pricing is not at its peak rate. This means you may want to splurge to try out a new resort. Depending on your past Disney experiences and budget maybe this trip is the perfect time to try out a Deluxe Resort for the first time, upgrade your room to a suite or stay at a Walt Disney World Resort for the first time ever.

2. Enjoy Moonlit Park Ambiance

One of the most relaxing and enjoyable parts of Disney vacation is enjoying strolling the parks at night with my husband. True, parks do have more limited evening hours now but there is still plenty of time to enjoying romantic strolls around the park with you partner or kicking back on a bench to enjoy some sweet treats.

3. Eat All the Themed Treats

Speaking of sweet treats, you picked the right time of year for your visit to Walt Disney World. Regardless of the park or resort you are in there is sure to be a themed treat nearby. Heart decked cupcakes in confectionary cases, chocolate dipped strawberry soft serve at Marketplace Snacks in Disney Springs and an adorable Up! Cake complete with a grape soda “Ellie Badge” are our top must-eat Valentine’s Day treats for 2021.

4. Nerd Out on the Disney Details Together

If you are a couple that share a love for Disney trivia and history, spend some time watching The Imagineering Story on Disney+ prior to your trip. Learning the history behind the films, attractions and parks is a great way to enjoy your trip even more. Spend time on your Valentine’s Day getaway enjoying classic park attractions, looking for hidden details in the parks and enjoying the planning and magic that went into creating Walt Disney World.

5. Splurge on a Meal at California Grill

Its no secret that California Grill is one of my all-time favorite restaurants at Walt Disney World. The food quality, seasonal menu and excellent wine makes it one of the most delicious restaurants at Walt Disney World. The stunning views of the Magic Kingdom make it the most romantic Disney restaurant. Share fresh sushi, a flat bread and a bottle of wine with your partner while overlooking the happiest place on earth.

6. Picnic with Your Love

It does not get much more romantic than a picnic. Lucky for you The Basket at Wine Bar George can easily equip you with all you need to enjoy a lovely picnic with Disney flair. Located at The Landing guests can easily swing by the walk-up counter to place an order for a picnic basket with an assortment of snacks, charcuterie, small bites, sweets and of course wine. Perfect for a special occasion we love that this Disney meal is not what one ordinarily thinks of when planning a Disney Dining experience. Take your picnic to the Marketplace to watch shoppers or post up near the water to watch the water taxis dock and sail away while you sip Beaujolais and munch on fresh fruit and baguettes.

7. Experience Festival of the Arts at Epcot

Speaking of sipping and sampling, a trip to Epcot is not to be missed during a Valentine’s Day getaway. Lucky for you, Epcot’s Festival of the Arts runs January 8, 2021- February 22, 2021. The more experiential nature of Epcot is perfect for couples looking for a slower and more relaxed day at Walt Disney World. Roaming World Showcase to sample drinks from around the world, watching performers in each pavilion and simply kicking back on a bench to enjoy the sunshine and good company are all excellent ways to spend an day at Epcot. Take the time to browse the festival booths and sample small plates and drinks from countries not ordinarily represented in World Showcase. Live art experiences, pop up galleries and themed photo spots can be found all over the park. Do not forget to pop by American Garden Theatre to enjoy a break from the walking and hear the music of The Voices of Liberty and Mariachi Cobre.
