Expectations have been high for Disney’s Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, which is a “first-of-its-kind, two-night immersive vacation experience in a galaxy far, far away”. The Halcyon starcruiser begins its journey on March 1st in 2022 at Walt Disney World Resort, and Disney has unveiled some new characters for Guests to meet on the way!

The first new character is Captain Riyola Keevan. According to the Disney Parks Blog, this captain is “Charismatic, respected and trustworthy.” Apparently, she is “a strong and decisive leader…and you’d be wise to listen carefully and follow her instructions”. While this might sound ominous, it will definitely be interesting for Guests!

Next up is the Cruise Director Lenka Mok, who seems decidedly less intimidating than the Captain. She is apparently “an optimistic and joyful soul [whose] happiness is derived from yours, so this is definitely someone you’ll want to meet”!

Star Wars fans will love that there are droids onboard! The first new droid you’ll meet is SK-62O, who is the assistant cruise director and who “loves to have fun with Guests”, but who is “also good in a pinch if anything should go awry”.

Another new non-droid character is Sammie the Mechanic, whose “enthusiasm and good-natured personality” supposedly will make “him popular among Guests who happen across his path”.

The second-to-last new character is another droid; this one is named D3-O9! She and SK-62O will be visible from viewscreens onboard, and her “primary responsibility is running ship logistics, so she certainly knows everyone and everything happening on board during a voyage. But her favorite part of the job is talking with passengers”. Fans of Star Wars technology will particularly enjoy this character, because she also knows a lot of the ship’s history!

Last up is the First Order Lt. Harman Croy. According to Disney’s blog post, since “this is a stormy time in the galaxy as battles rage between the First Order and the Resistance…the ambitious and intimidating Lt. Croy is on special assignment to root out and expose any Resistance fighters who are rumored to be aboard the ship. Will you help him? Will you support the Resistance? Will you just sit back and see how the whole thing plays out? The choice is yours”. Guests will most likely be intrigued by this character and their chances to interact with the intergalactic conflict in their own way!
