The 50th-anniversary celebration of the Walt Disney World Resort continues through April 2023, and whether you are planning on attending ‘The World’s Most Magical Celebration’ next spring or spending the holidays at Disney World next year, it’s almost time to start planning your trip! Bookings for Disney park ticket purchases, resort reservations and vacation packages for travel in 2023 will open on June 8, 2022.

2023 could be a great year to visit the Walt Disney World Resort! By next year, Guests will be able to experience Walt Disney World’s newest thrill ride, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind (which opens May 27, 2022 in EPCOT), as well as additional areas opening later as part of EPCOT’s massive renovation.
MagicBand+ launches this summer at Walt Disney World, bringing all-new designs and interactive elements to this Disney vacation staple, and Hey Disney, the resort’s all-new in-room voice experience will be installed at select Disney resorts by the end of this year.

The Disney Parks Blog also confirmed that the resort’s popular early entry benefit for resort Guests visiting Disney theme parks will continue through the end of 2023, beyond the 50th-anniversary celebration. Using this special resort-exclusive perk, Guests can take advantage of earlier access to all four Walt Disney World theme parks, allowing them to experience favorite attractions with little to no wait times before the parks open to day Guests.

Disney also recently announced that Genie+ will be removed from pre-purchase options when you book a Disney vacation beginning on June 8. As such, all 2023 visits to Walt Disney World theme parks will offer Genie+ only as a same-day purchase through the My Disney Experience app. Park Hoppers and Memory Maker will remain available as possible add-ons for 2023 vacation packages.
