Walt Disney World is hailed by foodies for their top-notch dining options. Breaking from the safe menus of typical amusement parks, Disney contains spots of true culinary excellence. That being said, they do excel at serving beloved (albeit safe) comfort foods. Today, we’re going to list the best burger joints for hungry guests. Their sandwiches are sure to satisfy the heartiest appetite!

1. Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe

Starting in the beloved Magic Kingdom, let’s focus on Tomorrowland. Aside from the thrills of Space Mountain, their burgers are also out of this galaxy! Head into the spacious, Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café for tasty fuel. With multiple ordering bays, you’ll rarely have a long wait. Not only is their bacon Angus cheeseburger delicious, it includes access to an all-you-care-to-enjoy toppings bar. After loading up, grab a table by the restaurant’s headliner animatronic performer – Sonny Eclipse. With family-friendly entertainment and great sandwiches to boot, Cosmic Ray’s is a fan favorite for a reason.

2. Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Café

Another burger gem awaits in the middle of Frontierland. Don’t be deceived by the cramped, saloon-style facade. (The seating area is secretly huge.) While their tacos and fajitas are praise-worthy, this western-style venue serves up one yummy burger. Similar to Cosmic Ray’s, Pecos Bill’s also features a self-serve fixings bar. However, this toppings bar is even greater. While you’ll see typical condiments and veggies, you’ll also find banana peppers, Pico de Gallo, various salsas, and fresh guacamole. So load up that burger and sit a spell.

3. The Plaza Restaurant

For MK visitors looking to escape the bustle of crowds, the elegant Plaza Restaurant is a welcome sight. Fashioned to look like a Victorian café, their menu offers much more than tea sandwiches and salad. Resist the urge to be dainty and order the succulent honey-barbequed beef brisket burger. Featuring tender brisket atop a juicy hamburger, it will be challenging to eat slowly. You just won’t regret a meal spent in this charming venue.

4. Beaches & Cream Soda Shop

Beloved by guests of the Beach Club Resort, the Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is an idyllic diner straight out of Pleasantville. Bursting with a pastel color scheme and chrome, the 50s vibe is eclectic and warm.  Upon arrival, you’ll be enchanted by the working jukebox and a menu full of guilty pleasures. Speaking of the menu, sundaes are the reigning champs. Despite this, we all know dessert doesn’t come first. And that’s where the tender Angus burgers enter the scene. Accompanied by a pile of crispy fries, you won’t mind finishing dinner before your ice cream. (In fact, you might even want seconds.)

5. Rose & Crown Dining Room

It seems strange to recommend a burger from a non-American EPCOT World Showcase Pavilion, but this option is worthy. The cozy, wood-paneled interior of the Rose & Crown does evoke cravings for tea, fish n chips, and the like. Don’t be fooled though. This pub-style venue is home to the Welsh Pub burger. Smothered in mouth-watering beer cheese and fried leeks, this burger truly has its own unique and satisfying identity. You’ll enjoy this special twist on an American classic.

6. Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant

For the ultimate burger experience, take a trip back to an era where drive-ins were all the rage and comfort food was the only food. Hollywood Studio’s Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant transports guests to a 50s drive-in movie theater at twilight. Guests are escorted to tables (fashioned to look like classic cars) and get to enjoy their meals while watching a variety of cartoon shorts and clips from classic horror films. While their menu is versatile, the BBG Burger is a highly recommended stand-out. Smothered in bacon, BBQ sauce, Jalapeno peppers, and cheese – this sandwich puts all other picnic foods to shame. This delicious choice, coupled with a charming atmosphere, makes for a dinner experience that hits the spot.

7. The Hollywood Brown Derby

If you’re craving a more upscale Hollywood Studios experience, check out the iconic Hollywood Brown Derby for dinner. Modeled after the famous California establishment, this restaurant oozes a trendy vibe and an impressive collection of celebrity caricatures. Don’t let the pricey menu deter you though. Their tender Wagyu burger is just as decadent as their steak. Topped with pastrami, avocado, egg, and a zesty Cognac-mustard – this is hardly an everyday burger. You (and your wallet!) won’t be sorry if you order this delectable and affordable option.

8. Satu’li Canteen

Over in the adventurous lands of Animal Kingdom, Pandora: World of Avatar is also full of fantastic eats. Head into the mess hall of Satu’li Canteen for a unique take on a cheeseburger. Instead of ordering a classic sandwich, try the one-of-a-kind Steamed Cheeseburger Pods. (Basically, it’s a dumpling filled with cheeseburger toppings and condiments.) While this is also a healthier take on the sandwich, it’s equally satisfying. Order a basket of these tasty ‘pods’ and you’ll be in for a very fulfilling meal.

9. The Boathouse

This upscale Disney Springs restaurant may be known for seafood, but they also feature a unique take on a burger. So if you’re not in the mood for lobster or shrimp, consider ordering the high-quality Filet Mignon Sliders. What these mini burgers lack in size, they make up for in exceptional flavor. Do your best to savor them and eat them slowly. Heck, you could even get two orders since it’s one of the cheapest entrees on the menu! Don’t be surprised if this entrée turns you into a repeat customer.

10. D-Luxe Burger

Although all of these suggestions are fool-proof, this Disney Springs establishment is the undeniable king of burgers. Ideally located in the heart of the premier shopping and dining area, the affordable prices and mouthwatering food will win your heart (and stomach)! The only thing better than their thick and tender patties is their selection of artisanal milkshakes. Before dessert though, chow down on a classic cheeseburger or one of the inventive creations. Brave eaters can inhale an El Diablo burger and health-conscious visitors can enjoy fresh vegan burgers. Regardless of your preference, D-Luxe Burger has a meal for every palate. It’s just a matter of personal taste. With so many excellent choices, it can be hard to settle on one restaurant! Be rest assured though, there is no shortage of carnivore-friendly eateries in WDW.
