2. Disney Skyliner construction has begun
The new Disney Skyliner gondola system will give Guests a bird’s eye view of some of the Disney World Resort. It will connect Disney’s Hollywood Studios to the Caribbean Beach Resort, Art of Animation and Pop Century Resorts. Architectural renderings also show plans for several loading and unloading stations at different parts of the Disney World Resort. The most interesting things about those stations is that they have been designed to look like the resort or park in which they will be built. For example, the station planned for construction at the entrance to Disney’s Hollywood Studios will have the same architecture as the entrance to the park—1960s art deco modern. Therefore, each station will have a different look so that it flows with the architecture and colors of structures surrounding the area in which it will be built.
