The New Nighttime Show 'Epcot Forever' Is Here! Here's Why We Love It!

Super Cool Kites

Nobody can deny that kites are pretty cool in and of themselves. Add some gorgeous LED lights and an awesome soundtrack, and they’re downright magical.  The kites in “Epcot Forever” are pulled by jet skis and look like deep sea creatures floating through the sky. They change colors to match the music and spout fireworks, and we just can’t get enough of them. In fact, we’d say this effect alone makes the show worth seeing.

Gorgeous Fireworks

As usual, Disney knocked it out of the park in terms of the fireworks in this show. Everything is perfectly choreographed to match the music and the mood, and the many different types of fireworks keep things interesting. Of course, Disney doesn’t skimp at all on the number of fireworks used, and the laser light projections add to the magic of the fireworks by adding even more color.

More Good Viewing

Thanks to the floating elements of the show, Illuminations: Reflections of Earth was best viewed from somewhere very near the World Showcase Lagoon. This really limited the number of good viewing locations, and meant planning way ahead if you wanted a shot at seeing the show well.  Fortunately, "Epcot Forever" doesn’t have this problem. Because the entire show is set in the sky, it can be viewed from almost anywhere in the park. Therefore, if you prefer to continue enjoying attractions up until the last minute, you can partake of a faraway viewing location and rest assured you’ll see the majority of what the show has to offer.

FastPass+ Option

While you can see most of the show from afar, we do have to admit that it’s a little more magical when you can get up close and personal to watch. If you feel like this is something you want to make sure you get to do, we highly recommend using the FastPass+ viewing option. FastPass+ was available for Illuminations as well, and we are happy to see they held onto this option, as many visitors will find it quite valuable.

All in all, “Epcot Forever” is a show that is well worth seeing. Make sure you plan to stay in the park late enough to catch it, and be sure to find a spot to watch early. Just be aware that this show is temporary, so you’ll want to check it out while you can.
