The Newest Additions Coming to Disney's Epcot We Can't Wait to Try

Epcot World Celebration

Walt Disney World welcomed Epcot as the second theme park at Walt Disney World, joining the Magic Kingdom as a member of the "Most Magical Place on Earth".  The date was October 1, 1982, exactly eleven years after the opening of the Magic Kingdom.  Epcot is now beginning a transformation that will enhance and bring to life a new and exciting Epcot that will thrill millions of visitors in the near future.

Walt Disney once said Epcot "would always be in a state of becoming ", a place that changes with the times, and so his vision is expanding and becoming all new.  This new Epcot will be divided into four neighborhoods, each highlighting important aspects of the world and its people.  These four neighborhoods are:  "World Celebration", "World Discovery", "World Showcase", and "World Nature".  Each neighborhood will celebrate their themes with new attractions, restaurants, shopping, entertainment, and unique opportunities to celebrate the wonders of our world.
