Disney’s Magical Express is long gone with the complimentary transportation service that took Disney Guests to and from Walt Disney World Resorts and the Orlando International Airport ending on December 31, 2021. Another service is officially on the move, and no, we’re not talking about Mears.

With Mears signage taking over the previous Walt Disney World Resort Magical Express spots, it’s easy to think the Mears Connect service is the only option for Disney Guests. Currently, the Mears transportation service fees are $16 (per adult) / $13.50 (per child) for a one-way trip or $32 (per adult) / $27 (per child) for a round trip. For the express service, Guests can pay $250 for a round trip with up to 4 passengers, with an additional $55 per additional passenger. But, there’s another option that just rolled in!

We previously shared the news that the Sunshine Flyer will be a new form of Disney Resort to airport transportation, and we’re thrilled to say it has officially debuted and is rolling into Disney Resorts now. The service was announced at the end of 2021 but wasn’t be ready to transport Guests until February 1, 2022. We’re thrilled to see it’s officially on the move!
The best part… the Sunshine Flyers are premium motorcoaches that are themed! The buses are designed after old-fashioned passenger train cars. Even the drivers aboard the Sunshine Flyer wear costumes themed to vintage train conductors. Check out the intro Sunshine Flyer video below:
