This is Why We’re Crazy About the Edison at Disney Springs

5. The Gooey Grilled Cheese and Organic Tomato Soup

This menu item is another favorite among guests of The Edison. Whether you’re a kid or just a kid at heart, this is the grilled cheese sandwich for you! It’s gooey, just like it’s supposed to be, but the unique mix of cheeses gives it that special “something.” Enjoy a blend of four different cheeses—fontina, Muenster, gruyere and Alpine Swiss. The sandwich is made with sourdough bread and served with an amazing organic tomato soup—one so good that even people who don’t like tomato soup are eating this one! The difference? This tomato soup is made in-house and takes a full 24 hours to prepare, and you can taste the difference!

6. The Edison Burger

If you’re dieting during Disney, just remember you can walk off the extra calories while exploring the four theme parks! This enormous burger is one you can’t say no to! It’s also one of the most famous items served at The Edison. This giant burger features a patty made of sirloin, brisket and short rib, blended together. Then comes the cheddar cheese, house-made pickles, bacon, crunchy onion strips, lettuce, tomato and of course, Edison Sauce! We think this burger is one of the best ones offered in all of the Walt Disney World Resort! Dieters and vegetarians, beware! You might just be converted!

7. The Lollipop Tree

There are several desserts on the menu at The Edison, but we think this one is a lot like Mr. Edison himself—it’s very creative! Behold, a wooden tree stand with several holes drilled into it. The tree is served at your table with cheesecake pops in each hole. The cake pops have been rolled in graham cracker crumbs, crushed nuts and other delicious goodies! Which one will you pick first? Hey, we won’t tell if you don’t want to share—we don’t either!

I am a writer and a Mom to four children and two baby shih-tzus. My first experience with the Magic was in 1988, when my parents surprised my brother and me with a visit to Walt Disney World after a short trip to see friends in Georgia. I still hum the tune played during the Main Street Electrical Parade and remember the feeling of excitement from my very first visit. I introduced my husband to the Magic several years ago, and we take our children to the parks every time we can. No matter how many times I visit Walt Disney World, it seems it’s not enough! The ever-changing experience only gets better with each trip, and I’m thrilled to share the Magic with others, as well as some of the tips and tricks to getting the most out of the Magic with each visit!
