Disney Announces THREE New Holiday Shows to Celebrate the Season!

In just one week, Disneyland will transform from The Happiest Place on Earth to The Merriest Place on Earth as the holiday season kicks off! Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure, and the Downtown Disney District will be adorned with wreaths, garlands, lights, ornaments, and more. The Haunted Mansion will once again become Haunted Mansion Holiday, merging the iconic attraction with Tim Burton’s beloved 1993 film, The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Beyond the festive decorations and the holiday makeover of the Haunted Mansion, guests can enjoy special attractions like “it’s a small world” Holiday at Disneyland, along with Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl and Mater’s Jingle Jamboree at Disney California Adventure.

As night falls, guests can experience Believe!… In Holiday Magic, a spectacular fireworks show lighting up the skies over Sleeping Beauty Castle, and celebrate the season with World of Color: Season of Light at DCA. Plus, don’t miss the Christmas Fantasy Parade, which takes place twice daily at Disneyland Park (weather permitting).

As if that wasn’t exciting enough, Disney has just revealed that THREE brand-new shows will debut at Disneyland Resort when the holiday season begins on November 15!

Mirabel’s Gifts of the Season

Welcome to the family Madrigal!

Mirabel’s Gifts of the Season will invite guests into the joyful world of Disney’s Encanto (2021). This musical show is set to take place outside Paradise Gardens Park. Families can enjoy a heartwarming presentation featuring Mirabel and her friends as they celebrate the spirit of the holidays.

Mirabel from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Encanto” and her friends rejoice in the spirit of the holidays, bringing everyone together during their very own Fiesta de Navidad celebration. Kids of all ages and families will enjoy singing along to the beloved songs from the film in this heartfelt musical presentation.

The show will take place Monday through Friday, and there will be no shows on the weekends.

A Musical Christmas with Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland & Miguel!

A Musical Christmas with Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland & Miguel!” promises an enchanting experience for guests who love Disney/Pixar’s Coco (2017). Scheduled for the evenings on Buena Vista Street, this show will weave together timeless stories and classic holiday music, delivered through intimate, bilingual performances by Mariachi Alegría.

A lively night scene reminiscent of Disneyland's new Christmas shows features a young boy with a guitar and a man in festive attire at the center. This nighttime show gathers friends and families to listen to heartfelt stories and timeless songs in an enchanting celebration of the holidays. Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland, accompanied by graceful dancers, delivers intimate, bilingual performances of beloved Christmas songs. The celebration closes with a special appearance by Miguel from Pixar Animation Studios’ “Coco” for a beautiful rendition of “Silent Night.” This is a treat you must experience this season!

As with Mirabel’s Gifts of the Season, Miguel and his Mariachi friends will only perform Monday through Friday and there will be no weekend shows.

Holiday Fun With Santa and Friends!

To further enrich the holiday atmosphere, Disneyland introduces “Holiday Fun with Santa and Friends!” at the Fantasyland Theatre. This charming experience provides guests the opportunity to meet Santa Claus alongside various beloved Disney characters, perfect for capturing memorable holiday photos.

Seasonal activities include craft-making, sing-alongs featuring holiday classics, and festive music. Unlike the other two shows, this experience will be available daily throughout the holiday season.

To get even more into the holiday spirit, Disneyland, DCA, and Downtown Disney will be offering a wide variety of specialty food and merchandise. The Festival of the Holidays food festival will take place at DCA from November 15 through January 6.

In addition, there will be three brand-new limited-edition popcorn buckets available: Santa Sulley, Elf Mickey Mouse, and Mickey & Minnie’s Holiday Gingerbread House.

The holiday celebrations at Disneyland Resort will start on November 15 and run through January 6, 2025.
