On September 13, 2025, an unexpected technical issue led to several guests being trapped on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland Resort late into the night. The incident occurred after Disney cast members had drained the water from the log flume ride earlier that day, which sparked concern that the attraction might be having serious issues. That morning, the Princess and the Frog (2009) ride reportedly failed to open alongside Disneyland Park.
According to reports from Disneyland Park guests, the Bayou Country attraction was down for several hours on Saturday morning and only operated for a few hours before another technical issue caused it to shut down completely. At around 10:30 p.m., several guests were trapped at the top of the ride’s iconic 50-foot drop.

TikTok user @yourdisnerd, who had made a Lightning Lane reservation for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure that evening, received a notification from the Disneyland Resort app informing them that their reservation could no longer be honored. Upon arriving at the ride, they found the attraction closed and several riders visibly trapped at the top of the hill:

“Now I know why I can’t do my Lightning Lane,” the Disney Park guest commented. “Some poor people are stuck on Tiana’s ride.”
Though Disney cast members typically try to restart attractions before opting to evacuate guests, it’s unclear if that process took place here. Disney Park guests were left waiting for an unknown amount of time before being assisted by attraction employees.

Fortunately, Disney cast members worked quickly to resolve the issue, and as of the publication of this article on September 16, 2025, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure was once again operating normally. What caused technical issues with the Disneyland Resort ride on Saturday remains unclear.
