The holiday season is one of the busiest times of the year at Walt Disney World Resort. Thousands of guests flock to the Central Florida theme park to celebrate the magic of the season. Many head to the Magic Kingdom for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party or to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for Jollywood Nights, both of which are separate ticketed events. Over at EPCOT, guests can enjoy holiday-themed food and drinks from around the world at the International Festival of the Holidays.

Throughout Walt Disney World, every corner is adorned with festive decorations—wreaths, garlands, Christmas trees, and ornaments. There’s an abundance of specialty food and drinks, holiday-themed merchandise, and so much more to enjoy.

One of the busiest days during the season is New Year’s Eve, with theme parks like the Magic Kingdom often reaching capacity early in the day. In fact, park reservations for that day are already sold out.

On New Year’s Eve, there are usually two fireworks shows instead of one, and it’s the final opportunity to see the limited-time Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.

For some guests, celebrating New Year’s Eve at Disney World doesn’t mean enduring the crowded Magic Kingdom. They’d rather avoid staking out a spot for hours to see the fireworks and prefer a more relaxed experience filled with great food, a festive atmosphere, and an exclusive touch.

That’s where Tiana’s New Year’s Eve Adventure at the California Grill, located atop Disney’s Contemporary Resort, comes in. This Princess and the Frog (2009)-themed event offers all of that — but it comes at a premium price of $800 per person.

Tiana’s New Year’s Adventure is an upscale event that promises a delightful character dining experience featuring beloved characters from Disney’s Princess and the Frog. Guests will be welcomed by Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen as they indulge in a lavish dining experience filled with festive ambiance.

The event also introduces a playful storyline involving Mama Odie, who uses her magic to create a mystery as critters from the bayou attempt to crash the party. Guests will be invited to assist Tiana in uncovering the truth behind the mysterious happenings.

Here’s more from the Walt Disney World Resort website:

Immerse yourself in the whimsical surroundings of California Grill—where you’ll see Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen. They’ve stopped by to sample the cuisine, meet some new friends and assist Tiana’s friend Chef Matthew. But wait… there’s a twist!

With the help of Mama Odie’s magic, Louis and a few of Tiana’s other critter pals have crashed the party. Throughout the night, Mama Odie will cast playful spells to help Louis and friends stay out of sight of Tiana and Naveen. However, Tiana is smart—she will get to the bottom of who crashed this party. But she’ll need your help to do it, so be prepared to join in the action!
