Top Experiences for Your Walt Disney World Bucket List

10. “Keys to the Kingdom” Tour

This is one of the most fun things you can do at Magic Kingdom. This 5-hour walking tour highlights hidden secrets of classic attractions in the park, as well as little known facts about Magic Kingdom. (But keep those secrets to yourself!)

9. Dinner At Sci-Fi Dine-in Theater Restaurant

What do you get when you combine retro cartoons, Godzilla-era film clips and some of the best fried pickles and burgers in the galaxy? The Sci-Fi Dine-in Theater Restaurant at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, of course! Be sure to book this one early as it tends to fill up quickly.

8. Stay At A Disney Deluxe Resort

What fun it is to stay in a Disney Resort hotel—any one of them! But there’s something really special about staying in a Disney Deluxe Resort. Some Deluxe Resorts include Disney’s Grand Floridian, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Wilderness Lodge and the Contemporary Resort.

7. Spend A Night (or two) In Cinderella Castle Suite

This one is extremely difficult to cross off any Disney bucket list. That’s because you can’t book this fantastic suite high up on the fourth level of Cinderella Castle. Instead, you have to win a visit to the suite, and contests are few and far between. But one can hope!

6. Tackle The Classics At Magic Kingdom

With all the new ride technology and innovative attractions coming to the Disney parks these days, it’s easy to forget where it all started. Get back to Disney World’s roots by having a “classics” day at Magic Kingdom. Ride Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan’s Flight, It’s a Small World and Space Mountain, and experience the Carousel of Progress and the Enchanted Tiki Room, for starters.

I am a writer and a Mom to four children and two baby shih-tzus. My first experience with the Magic was in 1988, when my parents surprised my brother and me with a visit to Walt Disney World after a short trip to see friends in Georgia. I still hum the tune played during the Main Street Electrical Parade and remember the feeling of excitement from my very first visit. I introduced my husband to the Magic several years ago, and we take our children to the parks every time we can. No matter how many times I visit Walt Disney World, it seems it’s not enough! The ever-changing experience only gets better with each trip, and I’m thrilled to share the Magic with others, as well as some of the tips and tricks to getting the most out of the Magic with each visit!
