Top Experiences for Your Walt Disney World Bucket List

5. Meet the Mad Hatter At 1900 Park Fare

Book the “Supercalifragilistic Breakfast” at 1900 Park Fare at Disney’s Grand Floridian, and meet the Mad Hatter among other characters. He never fails to put on an amazing “show” at each and every table in the dining room.

4. “Fantasmic” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

This nighttime spectacular, which brings back some of our favorite music from Disney’s Fantasia, is not to be missed. You’ll see characters you might not otherwise see in the parks, and the music and special effects are out of this world.

3. Stand In The Corner at Prime Time Café

Yes, stand in the corner. Hollywood Studios’ Prime Time Café is a fun restaurant serving up home-cooked favorites with a 1950s flair all around. The waitstaff call themselves “Aunt” and will have you standing in the corner if you don’t eat your green beans.

2. Ride A Surrey Bike At Art of Animation Resort

Grab your group and head to the Art of Animation Resort where you can rent a surrey bike for ½ hour or one hour at a time. Everyone pedals and everyone sees the beauty of the scenery around the lake.

1. Buy A Pair Of Ears … And Give Them Away

My daughter did this one year, and it was a very impactful experience. She bought a pair of Minnie ears with her own money so that she could find another little girl to gift them to. Both girls were touched by this gesture. And so were all those who watched it happen.

I am a writer and a Mom to four children and two baby shih-tzus. My first experience with the Magic was in 1988, when my parents surprised my brother and me with a visit to Walt Disney World after a short trip to see friends in Georgia. I still hum the tune played during the Main Street Electrical Parade and remember the feeling of excitement from my very first visit. I introduced my husband to the Magic several years ago, and we take our children to the parks every time we can. No matter how many times I visit Walt Disney World, it seems it’s not enough! The ever-changing experience only gets better with each trip, and I’m thrilled to share the Magic with others, as well as some of the tips and tricks to getting the most out of the Magic with each visit!
