Top Three Snacks In Each Walt Disney World Park

Rides, shows, and characters are obviously some of the best things about Disney World. However, what many people don’t realize is just how amazing Disney World food can be. While most Orlando theme park dining is mediocre at best, Disney World actually offers some of the best dining options in the city. Not only is their restaurant theming on point (as one would expect), the food is actually delicious too. This carries over from their meals to their snacks, making it almost impossible to enjoy a day at Disney without giving into temptation and purchasing at least one snack. Luckily, walking the enormous parks requires a good amount of energy, meaning we are almost always hungry for an afternoon snack or treat, which in turn means we’ve tried the vast majority of available snack options. In this article we will discuss our favorite options available in Disney World right now.

Magic Kingdom

Some of our very favorite snacks can be found in Magic Kingdom. Sweet treats are around every corner in this magical place. That said, there are some savory options that we love here as well. Be sure to try:

1. Nutella and Fruit Waffle Sandwich

Okay, the actual name for it is the Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich served with Chocolate-Hazelnut Spread, but who’s going to call it anything other than Nutella? Found at Sleepy Hollow in Liberty Square, this incredible snack features a fluffy Disney waffle topped with that gooey chocolatey spread along with strawberries, blueberries, and bananas. We love that it is filling while still satisfying our sweet tooth. If you’re looking for something similar but with a bit of protein involved, consider the chicken waffle sandwich from this same location!

2. Dole Whip Float

Perfect on a hot Florida afternoon, the Dole Whip Float is a cup full of refreshing pineapple juice topped with your choice of pineapple, vanilla, or pineapple-vanilla soft serve. We adore this Disney classic and recommend it to everyone who visits.

3. Spring Roll

The Adventureland spring roll cart is a fan favorite for a reason. Here you’ll find a variety of amazing spring roll options, with some flavors rotating regularly, meaning there is almost always something new to try. Every roll is fried to perfection, and the perfect option when you need something savory to tide you over until your next meal.

Epcot

Because Epcot is home to the World Showcase, it is one of the best places to find unique snacking options. In fact, sometimes we will fill an entire afternoon by wandering the World Showcase looking for new foods to try. Some of our top finds include:

1. Caramel Popcorn

Karamell-Küche is located in the Germany pavilion, and you’ll likely smell this tiny shop before you see it. Here, the staff are always at work making fresh and delicious caramel treats, and honestly, everything we’ve ever tried here has been amazing. That said, the fresh made caramel popcorn sold at this location is to die for. It’s also one of the most affordable and shareable treats we’ve ever found in WDW, making this a fantastic pick.

2. Troll Horn

Many people visit Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe in the Norway Pavilion to get school bread. While we do enjoy this treat, we actually feel it’s a bit overrated. Instead, we highly recommend trying the delicious, sweet-but-not-too-sweet goodness that is the troll horn, a sugar-coated cone-shaped pastry that is filled with jam and whipped cream.

3. Pot Stickers

Those looking for something savory to enjoy while walking the World Showcase will likely appreciate the pot stickers found at Lotus Blossom Cafe in the China Pavilion. We love that these are filling without being a full meal and that they can be eaten on the go.

Hollywood Studios

Once upon a time, Hollywood Studios didn’t have much to offer in terms of good food. Boy, has that changed. Now we have all kinds of favorite snacks in this park. Some of the best are:

1. Totchos

Found at Woody’s Lunchbox in Toy Story Land, totchos are a fun cross between tater tots and nachos. Basically, they’ve replaced the tortilla chips with tater tots and added a bunch of delicious nacho toppings. The result? An incredible snack that we just can’t get enough of!

2. Ronto Wrap

Those looking to grab a snack while immersing themselves in the world of Star Wars will love Ronto Roasters. In fact, we actually prefer this snack stand over the actual quick-service place, Docking Bay 7. Here you can get the Ronto Wrap, which is a pita bread wrap filled with roasted pork, grilled pork sausage, peppercorn sauce, and tangy slaw.

3. Carrot Cake Cookie

Want a Hollywood Studios sweet treat? The carrot cake cookie is a Studios classic that has been around for years. Disney fans adore this fluffy cookie, and we know you will too. Right now, the cookie can be found at Trolley Car Cafe (Starbucks) which is on Hollywood Boulevard on the righthand side as you enter the park.

Animal Kingdom

The last park is Animal Kingdom, and it is just as good as the others at providing delicious snack options that you won’t want to skip. Favorites at this park include:

1. Pongu Lumpia

Featuring a yummy cream cheese and pineapple filling wrapped in a crepe-like pastry skin, Pongu Lumpia is a seriously delicious treat. It’s also relatively inexpensive, and because it’s sold from a snack stand rather than an actual restaurant, it’s easy to obtain—so inexpensive and easy, in fact, that we end up with one of these more often than any other Animal Kingdom snack.

2. Cheeseburger Steamed Pods

If you don’t mind going into a quick-service eatery to grab your snack, the cheeseburger steamed pods from Satu’li Canteen are an excellent savory option. These are little pods stuffed with ground beef, cheese, and traditional burger toppings. They might sound odd, but trust us, they’re amazing.

3. Double Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich

Tamu Tamu Refreshments in Africa has another of our favorite Animal Kingdom snacks: the double chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich. Yes, you can get cookie sandwiches elsewhere, but this is the only double chocolate cookie option in any of the Disney parks, and in our opinion, it is the best ice cream sandwich on Disney property.
