There is a store inside Universal Studios Florida that most guests will never set foot in.
It just moved. And the deals inside got people lining up.
The Universal Annual Passholder store, the members-only shop where passholders and team members buy discounted resort merchandise, has officially relocated. The old Brown Derby location is done. The perk now operates out of the former Custom Gear shop in the San Francisco section of the park.
Same exclusive access. New address. Very loud discount signage.
The 70% Off Signs
This is what got everyone's attention.
Signs reading 70 percent off are posted throughout much of the new store. Not a corner. Not one rack. Throughout.
The number was steep enough that shoppers started questioning it, and team members confirmed the discount is calculated off the original marked price. No inflated base price. No fine print gymnastics. Original price, 70 percent gone.
For context, passholder merchandise discounts on property typically run nowhere near that. This is a different tier of markdown entirely.
What Is Actually In There
The stock is not limited to one park, which is the detail that makes this store worth a walk across Universal Studios Florida.
Merchandise inside comes from all four Universal Orlando Resort gates:
- Universal Studios Florida
- Islands of Adventure
- Epic Universe
- Volcano Bay
Epic Universe is the headline. That merchandise has been moving fast since the park opened, and seeing it marked down in a single location instead of scattered across a brand-new theme park is the kind of thing passholders notice quickly.
Volcano Bay items are in the mix too, which matters because water park merchandise tends to disappear from shelves as the season turns.
And the volume is real. Reports from inside describe a well-stocked store rather than a thinned-out clearance rack with only three sizes left.
The Velvet Rope
Here is the part regular guests are not going to like.
You cannot get in without a pass.
The store is restricted to Annual Passholders and Universal team members. A standard park ticket does not open that door. Friends and family tagging along without a pass are staying outside.
Bring the pass. Bring photo ID. That is the standard setup for passholder perks at Universal, and there is no indication this location works any differently.
The Lines Are Already Happening
People started lining up almost immediately.
That is what happens when you combine a members-only store, a brand-new location, and 70 percent-off signs in the windows. Word moves through passholder circles faster than any official announcement ever could.
Anyone planning to shop should treat this as an actual stop on the itinerary, not a quick swing on the way to the parking garage. The mid-afternoon is the worst time for anything with a queue at Universal Studios Florida. Mornings and later evenings are the smarter play.
One more thing. Discount stores with stock this deep do not stay that way. If something is sitting on the shelf at 70 percent off, walking away and planning to grab it later is a gamble.
Where To Go
Old spot: Brown Derby. Retired.
New spot: San Francisco area, the building that used to be Custom Gear.
Passholders who have been running the same park route for years will walk to the wrong door at least once this month. Consider this a warning.
