Originally set to open its doors on February 25, 2025, the debut has been pushed back by one month, with a new opening date scheduled for March 25, 2025. This delay affects hundreds of guests who had planned vacations around the original date, leading many to adjust their travel itineraries.

The delay comes as Universal Orlando nears the launch of its highly anticipated Epic Universe theme park in 2025. Terra Luna Resort, one of three new hotels designed to support Epic Universe, promises a uniquely themed experience aimed at enhancing the park’s immersive environment. With the change in opening date, guests who had hoped to be among the first visitors to the Terra Luna Resort will now need to reschedule.

Alternative Options for Affected Guests

Universal is offering options to guests impacted by the delayed opening. Guests may either reschedule their Terra Luna reservations to the revised March 25 date or opt for a stay at the Stella Nova Resort, another new property within Universal’s portfolio, which is on track to open on January 21, 2025. Universal has been reaching out to all affected guests with details and recommendations on rebooking, emphasizing the importance of responding promptly to secure their accommodations.

The Terra Luna Resort website has also been updated to reflect the revised opening timeline, acknowledging the change and expressing apologies for any inconvenience. Universal has committed to providing support through the rebooking process for guests impacted by the delay.

Epic Universe and Additional Resort Openings

As excitement mounts for the May 22, 2025, opening of Epic Universe, Universal is preparing to introduce a range of new accommodations to complement the park’s debut. The Helios Grand Hotel, located within Epic Universe itself, is set to open on May 22, offering guests a high-end option for an immersive stay right at the heart of the new park.

Though the Terra Luna delay presents a minor adjustment for Universal’s schedule, Stella Nova Resort’s January opening provides a nearby alternative for guests seeking accommodations as Epic Universe opens its doors. This selection of hotels is a key part of Universal’s larger strategy to create a well-rounded resort experience with lodging options that enhance and reflect Epic Universe’s imaginative themes.

While Terra Luna’s revised opening date may lead to slight adjustments for some guests, the enthusiasm surrounding Epic Universe remains undiminished. Guests who had planned for a February Terra Luna stay can now be among the first to experience the resort on March 25. Alternatively, Stella Nova Resort offers another convenient option with its January debut for those preferring an earlier visit.

Since first stepping inside the Magic Kingdom at nine years old, I knew I was destined to be a theme Park enthusiast. Although I consider myself a theme Park junkie, I still have much to learn and discover about Disney. Universal Orlando Resort has my heart; being an Annual Passholder means visiting my favorite places on Earth when possible! When I’m not writing about Disney, Universal, or entertainment news, you’ll find me cruising on my motorcycle, hiking throughout my local metro parks, or spending quality time with my girlfriend, family, or friends.
