Universal Orlando guests are being told to expect problems before they head home.
Central Florida is stuck in a stretch of wet weather this week, with repeated thunderstorms and heavy rain affecting the Orlando area. Rain chances are running as high as 80% to 90% Tuesday, while localized flooding remains possible on roads and in low-lying areas.

The unsettled pattern is expected to continue through Wednesday and Thursday. Forecasters say another one to two inches of rain could fall across the region, with isolated totals potentially reaching four inches or more.
That has already disrupted some theme park plans across Orlando. Walt Disney World visitors have reported canceling orĀ rescheduling their trips, while Universal Orlando Resort is now warning guests to expectĀ delays later in the day.
Guests Warned Before Leaving Universal Orlando
A notice posted at Universal Studios Florida on Tuesday tells guests to expect problems when departing the resort.
The sign reads: “Please expect delays departing the Theme Parks and Universal CityWalk this evening.”
Inside Universal shared the notice on X, writing:
Sign advising guests of delays later this evening. Possibly weather related? Central Florida is expected to get hit with A LOT of rain this week.

The notice does not explain what is causing the expected delays.
Weather is an obvious concern given the conditions across Orlando. Heavy rain can slow traffic, create standing water, and cause backups around Universal Orlando Resort as guests leave Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, Epic Universe, and Universal CityWalk.
Storms can also complicate the park day before guests ever reach the exits. Universal Orlando warns that severe weather may temporarily affect outdoor experiences, particularly when lightning is nearby.
That can include Jurassic World VelociCoaster and The Incredible Hulk Coaster at Islands of Adventure, along with Stardust Racers at Epic Universe.

Stardust Racers is already facing separate scrutiny this week. A lawsuit alleges that a boy suffered head, facial, orthopedic, and spinal injuries after losing consciousness on the Epic Universe roller coaster.
For Tuesday, however, Universal's warning is focused on the end of the day.
More Bad Weather Could Follow
The rain already affecting Central Florida may not be the only weather concern this week.
Forecasters are also tracking AL92, a developing disturbance over the southwestern Gulf of America.
The National Hurricane Center has raised the system's chances of development to 90% over both the next 48 hours and the next seven days.
Satellite imagery on Tuesday morning showed AL92 becoming better organized. Conditions could allow it to strengthen into a tropical depression soon.

If the system develops into a named tropical storm, it could become Tropical Storm Isaias.
Its eventual path remains uncertain, and forecasters have not yet established what impact, if any, the system could have on Central Florida.
Universal Orlando has not announced widespread theme park closures.
