Fans aren’t happy with the accuracy of Universal’s Wizarding World.
Over time, the “Traditional English Breakfast” offered in the parks has drawn increasingly scathing reviews from British visitors who feel that a single dish has completely missed the mark.
Designed to immerse guests in the fictional world created by J.K. Rowling, the parks use everything from architecture to food to create a believable escape into wizarding life. Restaurants like The Three Broomsticks are styled as rustic, authentic-ish British pubs where guests step right into the franchise’s aesthetic.

At The Three Broomsticks, guests can order a full English breakfast for $19.99. The meal includes scrambled eggs, sausages, black pudding, baked beans, English bacon, grilled tomato, sautéed mushrooms, breakfast potatoes, and a croissant. On paper, it appears complete. In practice, many British fans say it is anything but.
“This has managed to insult both English and French breakfast culture simultaneously,” one Reddit user wrote. “What’s worse is how this was likely overpriced and tasted quite bland.”
Another chimed in, “If this is what passes for ‘British food’ over there, no wonder they think our food sucks lmao.”

Some fans took issue not only with the presentation, but with the apparent disregard for what actually appears in the books. One Redditor recalled, “I’m pretty sure I remember descriptions of breakfast at Hogwarts having serving dishes with bacon, sausages, eggs and toast piled high. Not whatever this shite is.”
On a Universal Orlando subreddit, a British user broke it down more practically. “Beans are all wrong. Bacon, black pudding is ok, but not the best quality. Normal full English wouldn’t come with a croissant.”
Is This Reflective of All Food at the Wizarding World?
Theme park food often requires compromises. In the Wizarding World’s defense, a lot of its food feels like a step above the standard theme park fare of hot dogs, burgers, and popcorn (which is arguably found around a lot of Universal’s theme parks).

The shepherd’s pie and beef pasties have earned more positive reactions from British guests. If you like sweet drinks, then Butterbeer (which you can also make at home) is a favorite. There’s also a strong lineup of sweet treats – from fudge to ice cream – which are all designed to reflect the vibes of Harry’s universe.
Unfortunately, when it comes to breakfast, the park misses the mark. Few would call it a stellar theme park breakfast – and even fewer would describe it as authentically British.
