Another Closure on the Horizon

The two-week closure gives fans of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter an opportunity to plan their visits around the refurbishment. The Hogwarts Express, which provides a seamless connection between Hogsmeade in Islands of Adventure and King’s Cross Station in Universal Studios Florida, remains one of the park’s most immersive experiences, allowing guests to travel through the Wizarding World with state-of-the-art visuals and animatronics.

This upcoming shutdown follows a brief closure earlier this year, when the attraction was unavailable from September 15 through 19, 2025. At the time, guests were informed of the short-term pause with minimal disruption to their park experience, highlighting Universal’s ongoing commitment to operational excellence.

What Fans Can Expect

Details about the February refurbishment remain scarce, but past closures of the Hogwarts Express have typically involved routine maintenance, system updates, and safety checks to ensure the attraction continues to operate at peak performance. While the train ride will not be running during the two-week period, alternative experiences and attractions in both Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida will remain open for visitors.

The Hogwarts Express continues to be a cornerstone of Universal Orlando’s immersive storytelling, combining meticulous theming with cutting-edge technology to transport guests into the world of Harry Potter. Fans can anticipate that the refurbishment will uphold the attraction’s high standards while ensuring a safe and magical experience for everyone.
