After 70 Years in Anaheim, Disney Sends Guests to New California Location

After 70 years of welcoming guests in Anaheim, Disney is now offering fans a chance to experience the magic in a new California location. But this isn’t a move of the iconic theme parks—it’s a unique hotel deal tied to a different Disney experience: the Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco.

The museum, located in the scenic Presidio district of San Francisco, is a must-visit for Disney history enthusiasts. It showcases the early days of Disney animation with original Mickey Mouse drawings, animatronic models, and even a model of Disneyland Resort itself. The museum also offers several interactive exhibits featuring music and art that bring the magic of Disney’s legacy to life.

But the real treat for visitors this summer is the museum’s temporary exhibit dedicated to Mary Blair, the visionary artist behind “it’s a small world.” Running from May 22 to September 7, the exhibit celebrates Blair’s impact on Disney’s iconic design and art direction.

To make the museum experience even more special, Walt Disney Family Museum guests can take advantage of exclusive hotel packages in the Presidio. Presidio Lodging is offering vacation packages at two stunning locations: the Inn at the Presidio and the Lodge at the Presidio. These packages include a hotel room, two Walt Disney Family Museum tickets, and a souvenir to take home.

The Lodge at the Presidio is a beautifully renovated historic boutique hotel located on the Main Post of the Presidio. As the closest hotel to the Golden Gate Bridge, it offers guests incredible views of the bridge and the San Francisco skyline. For a more secluded stay, the Inn at the Presidio provides an elegant escape. Located in several former U.S. Army base buildings, including Pershing Hall and Funston House, the Inn allows guests to stay in a peaceful, forest-like setting just steps away from the city.

These vacation packages start at $499, with certain blockout dates during busy seasons. Please note that this offer is not available on Mondays or Tuesdays. Guests can visit the official website for more details, including booking information.
