Heads up, Disney fans! If you’re hoping to kick off 2025 with a visit to Magic Kingdom and need a Park Pass Reservation, we’ve got some news that might make you rethink your plans.
Park Passes are already sold out for January 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for Annual Passholders, Cast Members, and anyone using certain special ticket types.
Here’s the deal: if you have a regular date-based ticket, you’re in the clear—no reservations are needed! But if you’re part of a group that still requires a reservation, Magic Kingdom is officially off the table for those dates. It’s not a park closure, but it might feel like one if you were counting on using your pass to visit.
Why are these dates so popular? Early January is prime time for Disney magic. The holiday crowds are still lingering, families are stretching their winter vacations, and the park is decked out in gorgeous decorations that haven’t yet been packed away. And let’s face it—who wouldn’t want to kick off the new year with a spin on Space Mountain or a stroll down Main Street, U.S.A.?
If you missed out on a reservation, don’t panic just yet! There’s always the option to park hop. Starting at 2 PM, guests with park-hopping privileges can head over to Magic Kingdom, provided it hasn’t hit capacity. Check with Cast Members or give Disney a call before heading over to make sure your plan works.
This situation is another reminder that early planning is everything when it comes to Disney. Keep an eye on the reservation system for any last-minute cancellations, or consider spending your morning at another park before hopping over. Whatever you do, don’t let a sold-out reservation dampen your Disney spirit—there’s magic to be found around every corner.

My calendar says all 3 days are available for all 4 Parks. Legitimately confused.
