Walt Disney World Removing 4 Key Resort Discounts Just Before Peak Travel

There’s a quiet shift happening at Walt Disney World — and it’s happening right before one of the busiest stretches of the year.

Four major resort discount offers that have shaped spring break travel are ending after April 30. On the surface, it looks routine. Promotions expire all the time. But the timing, just ahead of peak late-spring and early-summer travel, raises questions for families still finalizing plans.

Because once these offers are gone, pricing dynamics change.

The 35% Passholder Discount Is Ending

Annual Passholders have had access to some of the strongest savings this season: up to 35% off Disney-owned resort hotels on most nights through April 30.

That kind of reduction can significantly impact where guests choose to stay. Deluxe resorts become more attainable. Extended stays feel more manageable.

But that structure ends with April travel dates. And as summer demand rises, similar discounts are far from guaranteed.

Florida Residents Losing 30% Savings

Florida residents have also benefited from savings of up to 30% on most nights through April 30. Historically, spring has been one of the best seasons for locals to take advantage of these offers.

Comfortable weather. Festival season. Manageable crowd patterns compared to summer.

With this discount ending, in-state guests could see higher room rates heading into May and beyond.

Public Offer of 25% Also Expiring

For everyone else, the general public discount of up to 25% off resort rooms has been a key planning factor this spring.

While it hasn’t been limited to specific memberships, it still required availability on “most nights,” which can narrow quickly as travel demand increases.

Once April concludes, that 25% framework disappears.

Even the Off-Site Deal Is Changing

D23 Gold Members have also had access to 18% off at Homewood Suites by Hilton, a Good Neighbor Hotel near the parks that includes breakfast and transportation perks.

That offer follows the same expiration timeline.

Why the Timing Matters

Spring break is still in full swing. Early summer planning is ramping up. Families who waited for flexibility or better airfare may now face a different pricing landscape.

Disney doesn’t always announce what replaces expiring discounts right away. Sometimes new promotions appear quickly. Sometimes there’s a gap.

What’s clear is that these four resort discounts — 35%, 30%, 25%, and 18% — have all been tied to travel through April 30.

And as Walt Disney World moves into peak travel season, the era of spring savings is officially winding down.

For travelers watching their budgets, that shift could make a noticeable difference.
