DINOSAUR merchandise has reappeared at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park weeks after the attraction's February 2 closure, surfacing at Island Mercantile on Discovery Island with no indication of how long supplies will last.
X (formerly known as Twitter) user @Mattlegostar2 posted photos on February 19 showing DINOSAUR-themed hand puppets, plastic figures, and an RC car shaped like the ride vehicle:

DinoLand U.S.A. Transformation Underway
Walt Disney World Resort announced at D23 Expo 2024 that Pueblo Esperanza, a Tropical Americas land, would replace DinoLand U.S.A. The area will feature two Encanto (2021) attractions—an animal carousel and a Casita-inspired family experience—plus an Indiana Jones retheme of DINOSAUR distinct from Disneyland Park's Indiana Jones Adventure.
DinoLand U.S.A. closures began in January 2025 with Chester & Hester's Dinosaur Treasures, TriceraTop Spin, and Chester & Hester's Dino-Rama, including the Fossil Fun Games. The Boneyard playground closed in September 2025. DINOSAUR, Restaurantosaurus, and the remaining DinoLand U.S.A. areas welcomed their final Disney Park guests on February 1, 2026.
Construction crews have entered Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park with the main Encanto attraction's infrastructure already rising above the temporary barriers. DINOSAUR props, including a cast T. rex skeleton—the real skeleton is at Chicago's Field Museum—have been removed.
Merchandise Clearance Strategy
Walt Disney World Resort hasn't announced how long DINOSAUR merchandise will remain available. Items will likely stay until sold out or relocated to discount outlets like Cast Connections (a cast member-exclusive store) or Disney Character Warehouse stores.
