12. Rafiki’s Planet Watch
Rafiki’s Planet Watch offers several attractions within an attraction. On the east side of the Harambe Village, Guests can catch the Wildlife Express train and set out on a 5-minute trip to another section of Animal Kingdom called Rafiki’s Planet Watch. Along the way, they get a behind-the-scenes look at Animal Kingdom before disembarking at the Planet Watch Station. From the station, Guests walk a short distance along a trail covered in lush vegetation toward all that Rafiki’s Planet Watch has to offer them. This is Animal Kingdom’s conservation headquarters, which features Affection Section—a petting zoo type area with goats and burros—and Conservation Station—an indoor area where Guests can learn about Disney’s efforts in conservation efforts, have an up-close and personal encounter with an amazing animal (and its trainer), meet Doc McStuffins and the sage Rafiki and even see a veterinary lab.
