What You Don’t Know About Being a Princess at Walt Disney World

1. Time With Fur

Every princess doesn’t play multiple heroines, but all of them have to spend time playing a mascot (or fur) character! That means that all character performers have known what it’s like to swelter inside a Stich costume in mid-July. This provides the face characters with great improv practice, as they can only convey things through movement. So the Minnie Mouse hugging you may actually be a Pocahontas who is missing her much cooler ensemble!

While being a princess is overall, a magical experience, it is still a job. On top of following Disney’s instructions, the princesses are aware of their responsibility to sustain the magic and dreams of many guests. This is not a responsibility to be taken lightly.
