7. Understand the Disney Dining Plan
You may wonder what this is. Simply put, it is a pre-paid plan that allows guests to pay for the majority of their food and beverages in advance. There are different variations of the plan to choose from based on your dining preferences. Some versions of the plan only include access to “on-the-go” quick service locations. Other dining plans can admit guests to the most lavish and sought-after sit-down restaurants. Choosing the right plan for your party will require some research as you’ll need to figure out whereyou want to eat. If you’re a newbie, I’d strongly suggest asking for restaurant recommendations from an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner or another Disney veteran. (Keeping all of this in mind, you do not haveto buy the dining plan to eat on property or make dining reservations. Paying out of pocket is always an option!)
