What You Should Know Before You Visit Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

2. Try New Foods

Pandora is home to two new dining options. We recommend trying both because both are wonderful in their own ways.

The first is a large quick-service eatery referred to as Satu’li Canteen. It’s a great option for lunch or dinner, and serves up delicious bowls and an interesting dish named Cheeseburger Steamed Pods. Desserts are also available, as are kids meals.

The second new option is Pongu Pongu. We mentioned earlier that this location serves up a tasty, glowing beverage. However, this isn’t the only thing they offer guests. The cart also mixes up a number of other awesome beverages. These are served alongside some tasty snacks such as giant soft pretzels and Pongu Lumpia, a pineapple cream cheese spring roll.

1. Play with the Flora and Fauna

We already brought up the fact that Pandora is home to lots of bioluminescent plants. What we didn’t mention is the cool interactive features the many plants and animals offer.

For instance, the Flaska Reclinata (the giant plant that looks something like a fly trap near the entrance to the land) likes to grumble and shoot mist when disturbed. Simply touch its side to see what we mean.

Other interactive features include drums in the middle of the land—which are made up entirely of plants—and the strange, shelled spitting creatures found floating atop the water. Both are fun to play with, so don’t miss them!

Chelsea

Chelsea is a lifelong Disney fanatic who lives and travels full time in an RV with her son and husband. Their family takes full advantage of their unique living situation by visiting Disney parks on both sides of the country as often as possible. In doing so, the Gonzales family gathers loads of great tips and info about the parks, which Chelsea is thrilled to share with readers here.
