“Has anyone ever gotten hurt while on vacation before? Today I was bucked off a horse at Widerness lodge and suffered a fractured leg which now has put an abrupt halt to our trip. 🥺 After a long day at the hospital I am back at my resort, I am freaking out as I fly out Monday and need tips as do I ask for a late checkout, can I get help at the airport? Anything else, I’m devastated. My husband isn’t really good at these things as I am “the one” Thanks everyone.”

  1. There is no horseback riding at Wilderness Lodge. The lady was at Firt Wilderness where the stables are. The trail doesn’t go anywhere near the Wilderness Lodge resort. I took the trail ride years ago with my daughter. The horses are so gentle. We walked by at least 30 deer and they didn’t even acknowledge them.
