7. The Holding Rooms Are Legit
Disney does a great job of incorporating ride logistics and preparation into the story and ride experience. Guests are transported into two holding rooms before boarding the ride. You begin the attraction by learning a bit more about the ecological impact mining has made on Pandora and keystone species like the ikran. Next, a lab member orients you on the avatar body matching process and how you will begin your ride. Not only do the rooms do a great job of tying together the story for guests, they also do a lot to break the monotony of the ride wait time.
